Devi Varanasi Music House

Devi Varanasi Music House is located in Bengali Tola at Dashashwamedh in Varanasi.  The shop is noteworthy for selling hand made instruments from Varanasi such as tabla, jambe and the flute.  Sitar and violin are also available.  Guitars are also sold with brands including Signature, Tronad and Grason.  The owner Devi Prasad makes santoor to order.  He had studied under Pandit Shivkumar Sharma.  Devi Prasad's son Naveen is a talba player and gives lessons either at his home or in the shop.  The shop posts upcoming concerts and is an inviting place for someone looking to try their hand at an Indian instrument.  There are signs hanging in the shop written by Japanese, Korean and English speakers.  It is obvious that this shop is a hit with the tourists!  If you are looking to buy an Indian instrument or just looking for a cushion to sit on, stop by and say "hello" to Devi Prasad or Naveen today!
